Downslope deciduous forest is dominated by red and chestnut oak. Bottom has weedy floodplain abandoned from agriculture.;Convex, west facing slope about midway to ridgetop. Forest patch dominated by tall Virginia pine canopy without regeneration. Pine are scattered with mesophytic herbs in understory. Oak regeneration abundant in short shrub layer may reflect shifting deer population.
